Professional Development Day!
Professional Development Day has been incredibly valuable for the staff at each of our centers. It provided a meaningful opportunity to learn new skills, collaborate across teams, and identify what our educators need most to thrive in their roles.
By dedicating time to professional learning, we’re strengthening our commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every child—and supporting one another as professionals along the way.

Communication Development
This week, our staff took time for Professional Development Day, focusing on how we can grow, reflect, and continue to provide the best care for our children and families.
We participated in a Zoom training session on communication skills, where we explored how cultural differences and communication styles can lead to misunderstandings. The session included valuable insights into direct vs. indirect communication, active listening, and ways to build stronger, more inclusive relationships with children, parents, and each other.
We also reviewed regulations, gathered feedback, and discussed areas where we can improve as caregivers—from emotional regulation to classroom strategies.

CPR Training
Mr. Kenny visited our centers to provide First Aid and CPR training, ensuring our team is well-prepared for emergencies. Our teachers also participated in two specialized courses: "A Watchful Eye: Supervision in the Classroom" and "It's All About Timing."
Beyond CPR for adults, we focused on emergency response techniques for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, recognizing that young children face a higher risk of choking. By equipping our staff with comprehensive training, we strengthen our commitment to keeping every child safe and cared for.

CPR Training-Continued
Our CPR and First Aid training continues — our teachers engaged in hands-on Child CPR and First Aid practice, gaining the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in real-life situations. The training emphasized techniques tailored specifically for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, focusing on recognizing early signs of distress, performing CPR with correct compression depth and rhythm, and managing choking incidents safely.
In addition, staff received hands-on AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training, learning how to operate the device step by step in an emergency. Practicing with real equipment helped our team understand how to remain calm, coordinated, and efficient under pressure.
