Preschool Teacher
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Preschool Teachers to join our educational team. In this role, you will help create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe classroom environment where children can learn, explore, and grow with confidence.
Preschool Teachers play an important role in supporting children’s educational journey, social-emotional development, classroom routines, and school readiness. The ideal candidate is caring, dependable, and committed to creating a positive learning experience for preschool-aged children.
We are looking for preschool teachers at:
Columbia Location; Ellicott City Location; Gambrills Location
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- 45 Hour Growth & Development certification/training
- 45 Hour Methods and Materials certification/training
- 45 Hour Curriculum and Planning certification/training
- Experience working in a preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood education setting is highly preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and knowledge of positive behavior guidance practices
- Familiarity with learning technology and early childhood classroom tools is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their development
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
- Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet children’s developmental needs
- Support children’s social, emotional, behavioral, physical, and academic growth
- Manage daily classroom activities while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
- Use positive behavior guidance strategies to support children’s emotional and social development
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers regarding children’s progress, behavior, and learning needs
- Integrate learning tools and classroom resources to enhance children’s educational experiences
- Observe and assess children’s progress, then adapt teaching strategies as needed
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, aides, and classroom support staff
- Organize physical activities that promote health, movement, fitness, and teamwork
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment for all children
